SUM ART (Mana Manasho) and Japanese sculptor Takamaki Busujima's collaborative original sculpture, the "Flame Hari Hara Gyatei 1/4 Scale Pre-painted Complete Figure," is set to release in November 2021. This edition is limited to 99 units (Japanese domestic release, with an international release anticipated in Q3 2022).
This piece is a re-imagining of Takamaki Busujima's iconic work from 20 years ago, "Hari Hara, the Underworld King." Utilizing modern digital sculpting techniques, it took a full year to redesign the figure into a majestic pose, radiating divine light and standing atop fiery blossoms. Busujima believes that many awe-inspiring entities often coexist with "beauty," and Hari Hara, the Underworld King, represents his interpretation of terrifying aesthetics.
Previously, "Hari Hara Gyatei, the Underworld King" was released as 1/6 and 1/4 scale Garage Kits, featuring a staggering 97 parts. Now, a truly luxurious "Flame Hari Hara Gyatei" is being offered as a 1/4 scale pre-painted complete figure. The statue is primarily crafted from polystone, with the divine aura on its back made of brass, faithfully reproducing the intricate details of the original sculpt. Standing at a colossal 82.5 cm tall, its presence is even more imposing.
