Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest addition to their "Armored Girls" web/mobile game line, the "LBCS Jibanyan Kozakura Tsugumi" plastic model kit, slated for release in February 2022. This follows their previous releases, the LBCS Achilles Mikazuki Karina and LBCS Emperor Katakura Sophia.
The "Armored Girls" (Soukou Musume) game was a web and mobile title developed through a collaboration between Japanese game company LEVEL-5 and DMM GAMES. It served as a new project within LEVEL-5's popular "Little Battlers eXperience" (LBX) IP, allowing players to summon "LBCS" girls who wear and wield the abilities of LBX power armor to battle enemies known as "Mimesis" in an alternate Tokyo. The initial release received mixed reviews, leading to a significant re-launch in 2020. However, the game ultimately ceased operations in July 2021.
The "LBCS Jibanyan Kozakura Tsugumi" is likely the final release for the Armored Girls line. This unique character combines the "Little Battlers eXperience" armor aesthetic with Jibanyan, the beloved protagonist from LEVEL-5's other popular franchise, "Yo-kai Watch." Fittingly, Jibanyan's original voice actor also lends her voice to this character.
The "LBCS Jibanyan Kozakura Tsugumi" kit features multi-color molded parts and includes four pre-painted face plates: a "normal face," a "winking face," a "shouting face," and a "troubled face." Collectors can also choose between two different angles for the cat ear parts. Combined with highly flexible articulation and movable armor sections, the kit allows for a wide array of adorable poses.
