Japanese specialty gallery and toy store "Hakaba Gallery" is teaming up with veteran Japanese sofubi toy maker U.S.TOYS to release an adorable new Kaiju sofubi figure, the "Kaiun! Maneki Booska," on October 23, 2021, at Hakaba Gallery's Nakano main store and online shop!
Booska, the beloved Kaiju known for his charming appearance and love for ramen, now transforms into a lucky beckoning cat! This "Kaiun! Maneki Booska" sofubi stands approximately 22 cm tall, making for a substantial display piece. The overall design is supervised by U.S.TOYS, showcasing their unique and captivating rounded style. The figure faithfully recreates Booska's iconic orange skin and reddish-brown patterns, complete with big, round eyes and a beckoning right paw – truly irresistible! The coin he holds is also emblazoned with the characters for "Kaiun" (good fortune), a fitting touch for the "Kaiju" (strange beast) himself. Turn him around, and you'll spot his short, adorable tail, making this figure an ideal addition to any home's entryway.
