Good Smile Company's MODEROID model kit series, known for its popular stop-motion animation "PUI PUI Molcar" releases, is expanding its lineup! Following the first wave featuring Potato, Shiromo, and Abby, and the second wave with Choco and Armed Teddy, the third wave introduces more customized vehicles, including the brand-new "MODEROID PUI PUI Molcar Magical Angel Abby" model kit, scheduled for release in March 2022.
"PUI PUI Molcar" (PUI PUI モルカー) is an original Japanese stop-motion animated TV series directed and written by Tomoki Misato. The show features "Molcars" (モルカー), vehicles crafted from felted wool that resemble guinea pigs. Centered around unique scenarios involving these guinea pig-cars, the Molcars — with their round black eyes, stubby legs, and signature "PUI PUI" squeaks — deliver heartwarming moments, friendship, adventure, and chaotic action in each short 2-minute, 40-second episode.
The "MODEROID PUI PUI Molcar Magical Angel Abby" model kit stands approximately 70mm tall once assembled. It faithfully recreates Abby from episode 10 of the anime, who dreams of being a hero but gets an "itasha" makeover from its otaku owner! Fans can assemble the vibrant parts to create the cute, pink Magical Angel design. The kit comes with a gorgeous gem-studded magical headpiece and "Magical Angel Morumi" itasha decals. Tear and sweat expression stickers are also included, allowing fans to display Abby's adorable, embarrassed look. Additionally, a model of the cat stuck in a tree from the episode (requires painting) is included to recreate the iconic scene!
