Following the successful first wave of Good Smile Company's MODEROID model kits based on the hit stop-motion animation "PUI PUI Molcar," which included Potato, Shiromo, and Abby, and the second wave featuring Choco and Armed Teddy, the third wave finally introduces the highly anticipated MODEROID PUI PUI Molcar Zombie Shiromo! This kit is slated for release in March 2022.
The original Japanese stop-motion TV animation, PUI PUI Molcar (PUI PUI モルカー), directed and written by Tomoki Misato, features felted guinea pig-inspired vehicles, known as "Molcars" (モルカー), as its protagonists. Centering on unique scenarios blending guinea pig and car characteristics, the Molcars—with their beady eyes, short limbs, tiny steps, and constant "PUI PUI" squeaks—unfold heartwarming tales of friendship, adventure, and chaotic action in each short 2-minute, 40-second episode.
The MODEROID PUI PUI Molcar Zombie Shiromo model kit measures approximately 70mm when assembled and faithfully recreates Shiromo's zombie transformation after being bitten in episode six of the anime. Utilizing colorful parts and zombie pattern stickers, you can assemble its vibrant pink and green zombie-fied appearance, complete with eerie white eyes! It includes two types of wheels—one for static display and another for rolling—allowing you to enjoy recreating the Molcar zipping around. Additionally, a separate zombie figure (a green unpainted body, requiring self-painting) is included to help recreate iconic scenes from the show!
