The latest product, "Combined Demon God Rayearth," from the assembly model kit series "MODEROID" by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, was announced today for release in February 2023, originating from the anime "Magic Knight Rayearth."
Combined Demon God Rayearth is the legendary Demon God form in the story, fighting alongside the protagonists Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji. It is formed by the combination of Demon God Rayearth (Fire God)]], Demon God Ceres (Sea God)]], and Demon God Windam (Sky God)]]. Its appearance not only fuses the characteristics of the three Demon Gods but also unifies their immense three-attribute magical power, allowing it to unleash the incredibly powerful special move "Spiral Flash."
For "MODEROID Combined Demon God Rayearth," sculptor Aran Moriguchi, who was responsible for designing the previous three Demon God products, was once again invited to create a three-dimensional representation of Combined Demon God Rayearth with a refined, cool design and an even larger physique. The kit consists of multi-color molded parts and some pre-painted parts, recreating the cool red armor, Windam's main wings, and Ceres's sub-wings and tail design. The weapon "Flash Sword" and the various jewel parts on its body are made with clear parts, and a shield can be attached to the left wrist.
Although the previously released CG images and prototype wings had a rather stiff, single-piece design, Good Smile Company had a surprise in store. With this official product announcement, they also revealed for the first time that "replacement wing parts" will be included, allowing for the recreation of the anime's later design. Not only is the three-dimensional feel of the white feathers greatly enhanced, but there are also multi-stage, highly posable joints, enabling more dynamic and fluid poses!
