Japanese model brand PLUM recently officially announced that a brand new model kit series, "5inch Mechanism," is currently under development. This series will feature mechs from classic Japanese video games of the 90s, releasing them as compact model kits.
"5inch Mechanism," abbreviated as 5in.M, is designed with concepts including meticulously detailed sculpting, a low part count, and easy assembly. Each model is engineered to be 5 inches (approximately 130mm) tall. This approach not only keeps costs low to reduce the selling price but also allows for model production at a moderate, manageable size.
The currently announced product lineup will include 5 classic Japanese video games from the 90s, namely "POWER DoLLS 2," "GUNGRIFFON," "Assault Suits Valken," "Kuu-ga 2001," and "Assault Suits Leynos." These sci-fi themed games were released on platforms such as SFC, SS, PS, PC, and arcade machines. Enthusiasts can look forward to the three-dimensional realization of iconic mechs like HIGH-MACS and Assault Suits from these titles!
