American-style collectible manufacturer Tweeterhead, after releasing multiple characters based on the classic animated series "Masters of the Universe," recently unveiled another classic villain: the "Beast Man" 1/5 scale full body statue! Expected to ship in Q3 2024.
In the story of "Masters of the Universe," Beast Man, along with Mer-Man, whom we introduced previously, are both henchmen of the arch-villain Skeletor. However, when it comes to these two characters, what most collectors might remember isn't their evil deeds, but rather their comical moments of being scolded by Skeletor for their mistakes, or easily knocked away by He-Man. Yet, in Tweeterhead's "Masters of the Universe" themed statue series, Beast Man makes his appearance with an exceptionally ferocious image. If the previous Mer-Man emphasized metallic textures throughout his body, then this Beast Man profoundly showcases the charm of intricate fur details and primal equipment.
This piece stands approximately 56 cm tall, depicting Beast Man in a roaring pose, wielding a long whip. From his dense mane, powerful musculature, and the animal skull forming his left shoulder armor, to the dagger and whip crafted from animal bones, everything conveys a strong primal essence. His dark claws, meticulously painted belt and spiked wristbands, and iconic compass are all rendered with exceptional sculpting prowess! The head sculpt also offers two interchangeable styles, vintage and modern. The base is designed after the classic in-show location, "Snake Mountain." It's incredibly cool!
