FuRyu, a company that has released numerous character figures, under its new figure brand "TENITOL", is scheduled to release a figure of the protagonist "Takagi-san" (高木さん) from the beloved romance manga and anime series 《Teasing Master Takagi-san》 in May 2024! The price will be 5,500 JPY.
《Teasing Master Takagi-san》（からかい上手の高木さん）, created by manga artist Soichiro Yamamoto, began serialization in 2013 in a supplementary booklet of Shogakukan's "Monthly Shonen Sunday, MONTHLY SHONEN SUNDAY, GET THE SUN!" (abbreviated as Gessan), concluding its serialization in October 2023. It was adapted into an anime in 2018, with three seasons aired to date. The story depicts the ambiguous and amusing daily interactions between the protagonist Nishikata and the heroine Takagi, who are middle school classmates, along with the daily lives of their other classmates, thereby expressing the subtle, budding emotions between the two.
In the story, the heroine Takagi-san is Nishikata's classmate, sitting next to him. She always enjoys coming up with various things to tease and playfully provoke the honest and straightforward Nishikata. Her true nature is that of an intelligent and clever beautiful girl, skilled at discerning people's thoughts and actions. She loves Nishikata's innocence and shy reactions, which is why she enjoys teasing him as a way to get close. In the future, she and Nishikata have a daughter, Chi, who is also often playfully manipulated by Takagi.
This TENITOL Takagi-san figure stands approximately 19 cm tall including the base. Her appearance is based on her everyday school uniform. Takagi's pose is like she's stretching, happily and freely extending her body. Her facial expression shows a joyful wink, as if sending a flirtatious glance to her crush, Nishikata. The movement of her scarf, hair, and skirt makes Takagi appear to be full of joy. She stands on a concrete ground with weeds, reminiscent of waiting for Nishikata to walk home from school together.
