Japan's renowned toy manufacturer TAKARA TOMY will release merchandise based on the popular web manga "Uncle Who Got Reincarnated as a Cat": the "Pun-chan Life-sized Plush Doll" and the "Tepu-chan Life-sized Plush Doll". Pre-orders are now open, with an estimated release in May 2024!
The manga "Uncle Who Got Reincarnated as a Cat" (ねこに転生したおじさん), published online by artist Yajima (やじま), tells the story of an office worker uncle who, after being hit by a car and dying, unexpectedly reincarnates as a cat. He is then adopted by the company president who, in his previous life, always severely scolded him. To his surprise, the president, who appears serious and stern on the outside, is actually a cat lover to the point of being maniacal and almost perverted at home! The hilarious contrast between the uncle transforming into a cute little cat and charming everyone, and the president's intense cat obsession, has made the work widely beloved by both "uncle-lovers" and cat enthusiasts.
TAKARA TOMY's "Pun-chan Life-sized Plush Doll" and "Tepu-chan Life-sized Plush Doll" bring Pun-chan, the uncle reincarnated as a cat, and Tepu-chan, the neighbor's cat, to life as 1/1 scale plush dolls! Not only do they provide the realistic sensation of Pun-chan being in your home, but you can also fully enjoy the cat-petting scenes from the manga ♡ Especially noteworthy is the tactile design, featuring fluffy, soft fur that makes you feel like you're stroking a real cat~ While petting the cat plush, a small fabric tag of the "uncle" will remind you of its true identity... Additionally, special paper tags feature illustrations of the owner (the president) and the novelist, completing the work's worldview~
