US toy giant Mattel previously announced the action figure series "Turtles of Grayskull", which combines two enduringly popular franchises, He-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. More detailed product lineups have recently been revealed, with the first wave of characters expected to launch in January 2024.
One is He-Man, whose animated series began airing in 1983, and the other is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with its first comic issue released in 1984. These two classic franchises, highly active in the 80s, are undoubtedly cherished childhood memories for many old-school toy collectors. Fast forward to 2023, He-Man continues to maintain its popularity among veteran fans thanks to new toy releases from various major manufacturers, not to mention its iconic sound-effect meme. Meanwhile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles constantly innovates, even releasing a brand-new animated film, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem," which hit the big screen this June. This has not only thrilled long-time fans but also introduced new Turtle enthusiasts to this world of mysterious sewers.
These Turtles of Grayskull action figures pay homage to the original He-Man toys. In addition to being sculpted at a 5.5-inch height with approximately 16 points of articulation per figure, they also incorporate refreshing and interesting designs born from this crossover! Each Ninja Turtle character has transformed into a muscular physique, equipped with He-Man's weaponry. Conversely, the He-Man characters are outfitted with turtle shields, Mouser robot weapons, or even armor that echoes early Ninja Turtles vintage toys... it's truly awesome! Detailed sales information is not yet confirmed, but let's take a look at each character!
