Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the alloy and ABS pre-painted finished product series thoroughly supervised by popular mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME, 'GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE', today announced the latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam', 'MS-07B Gouf', scheduled for release in May 2024.
The MS-07B Gouf is a mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. After the Zeon forces successfully landed on Earth, they realized that the performance of their original main ground combat unit, the 'Zaku II J-Type,' was insufficient for the evolving battlefield, leading to the development of the 'MS-07B Gouf,' specialized for close-quarters combat. Its most famous pilot in the series is Ramba Ral, known as the 'Blue Giant'. While this unit inherits characteristics of the Zaku in appearance, its operational characteristics are fundamentally different from the Zaku. Not only was its armor lightened and engine output increased, but it also featured auxiliary propulsion systems in its legs to enhance mobility. It is capable of flexible close-quarters combat using its Heat Saber, Heat Rod, and the 5-barrel finger machine gun built into its left hand.
The 'G.F.F.M.C. MS-07B Gouf' is thoroughly supervised by renowned mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME. Its exterior is based on the design sketches from the 'Mobile Suit Gundam' anime version, and incorporates technology cultivated from the previous 'THE ORIGIN' version Zaku II. The entire unit, including the internal frame and shoulder armor, is constructed with numerous alloy parts. The exterior armor parts feature almost complete color painting, reproducing the characteristic dark blue paint scheme and original fuselage markings with a strong Ver.Ka style. The entire model possesses a greater sense of weight and realism.
Regarding the weapon accessories, the 'Heat Saber' uses clear orange parts to reproduce its superheated blade. The 'Shield' can store the Heat Saber hilt on its inner side. The 'Heat Rod' comes with two lengths of whip bodies that can be freely bent into shape. Each finger of the left hand, which houses the '5-barrel finger machine gun,' features two points of articulation. Additionally, expansion parts are included among the accessories, allowing the shield to be equipped with a 75mm Gatling gun and a 3-barrel Gatling cannon, while also storing two Heat Sabers simultaneously, reproducing the armament of the Gouf Custom that appeared in 'Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team'!
