Round and round we go! Japanese toy company FREEing, under its exquisite 1/4 scale large-sized character figure series "B-Style", is scheduled to release a 1/4 scale bunny girl style barefoot version figure of Belldandy (ベルダンディー), the protagonist of the popular shonen manga "Ah! My Goddess," which ran for 25 years, in July 2024! The price will be 29,700 JPY.
"Ah! My Goddess" (ああっ女神さまっ), created by Kōsuke Fujishima, began serialization in 1988, followed by various adaptations including OVAs, TV anime, and animated films. The story follows protagonist Keiichi Morisato, a university student who one day accidentally dials the Goddess Help Line, causing a beautiful goddess, Belldandy, to appear. Because Keiichi wished for "a goddess like you to stay by my side forever," the two began living together. Later joined by two other goddesses, Urd and Skuld, they experienced various events, making it a romantic comedy manga that sprinkles a touch of magic into everyday life. As the series ran for 25 years, its art style and background era settings evolved with the serialization progress, allowing readers to appreciate the author's versatile artistry.
FREEing has previously released bunny girl versions of Belldandy, as well as Urd and Skuld. What's different is that this bunny girl version of Belldandy has the fishnet stockings removed, presenting her directly in a barefoot style. Standing approximately 45 cm tall, her long, slender legs, accentuated by the bunny girl outfit, appear even more captivating and defined without the fishnet stockings. Belldandy maintains her pose with her right hand extended, and her outfit remains largely unchanged. For those who had reservations about the black fishnet stockings in the previous version, this barefoot edition is sure to reignite your desire to acquire it.
