Japan's Furyu Corporation (フリュー株式会社), under its high-quality figure brand "F:NEX," has opened pre-orders for its new "Chained Soldier" themed release, the "Kyouka Uzen" (うぜん きょうか) 1/7 scale pre-painted figure, at FURYU HOBBY MALL. This figure is being sold as a made-to-order product, with an estimated shipping date starting September 2024.
The Japanese manga "Chained Soldier," originally written by Takahiro (タカヒロ) and illustrated by Yohei Takemura (竹村洋平), opens with the dawn of a new era—one where "gender equality" has vanished. Across Japan, anomalous dimensions called "Mato" have appeared, inhabited by ferocious monsters known as "Yomotsu Shikigami." Simultaneously, "Peaches" that grant special abilities when consumed also grow within the Mato, but these Peaches only bestow powers upon women. The government thus established a new organization, the "Anti-Demon Corps," composed of women who have gained the power of the Peaches, to combat this situation. The male protagonist, "Yuki Wakura," encounters Kyouka Uzen, the captain of the Seventh Unit of the Anti-Demon Corps, during a Mato disaster, and begins his (blissful) slave life.
Kyouka Uzen's special ability, "Slave," allows her to form contracts with other beings, making them her slaves and drawing out and enhancing their latent powers. Before meeting Yuki Wakura, she primarily used Shikigami in battle. Later, she established a master-slave relationship with Yuki. When the "Slave" ability is activated, Yuki not only transforms but also significantly specializes in combat abilities, speed, and more. The "rewards" accompanying the "Slave" contract are another major highlight of this work, beyond its thrilling battles!
This figure stands approximately 28 cm tall and is crafted from composite materials such as PVC, ABS, and iron. It brilliantly recreates Kyouka Uzen in a low-stance squat, holding her katana. Her expression, a confident smile perfectly complementing her drawing sword pose, is wonderfully depicted. The gradient paintwork on her flowing long hair, the colors and intricate details of her Anti-Demon Corps uniform, the wrinkles in her attire caused by her battle-ready squat, and the captivating "absolute territory" are all exceptionally well done! The base features Yuki after his transformation, with his distinctive appearance meticulously sculpted and enhanced with shading effects to give his muscles a more three-dimensional form. Coupled with the chains symbolizing Kyouka Uzen's activated ability, this is truly a magnificent piece!
