GASHAPON, the capsule toy brand of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product from its Mobile Suit Gundam-themed capsule toy series, 'MS MECHANICAL BUST,' featuring the 'DX Unicorn Gundam' from Mobile Suit Gundam UC, slated for release in October 2024.
The 'MS MECHANICAL BUST' series is a capsule toy product line that transforms Mobile Suits from the Gundam series into exquisite busts. Its design concept is similar to the previously released INTEGRATE MODEL Mazinger Z busts, but with a smaller size and a more streamlined design. The product consists of two parts: the 'exterior armor' with high-density detailed sculpting, and the 'internal mechanism' which combines precise construction with a lighting feature. Once collected, the exterior parts can be attached to the internal mechanism to assemble a Gundam bust approximately 10 cm tall.
The 'MS MECHANICAL BUST DX Unicorn Gundam' will be sold in GASHAPON's largest capsule shell to date, measuring 90mm, thus offering an even more substantial content volume. The three types of products are 'Unicorn Gundam (Unicorn Mode),' 'Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode),' and 'Internal Frame + LED Light Unit.' These can be combined to display the Unicorn Gundam in both its transformed and untransformed modes. The head not only accommodates the LED light unit to recreate the glowing eye effect but also allows for various angles of rotation thanks to the ball joint in the neck.
