Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the alloy and ABS finished product series「GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE」, thoroughly supervised by popular mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME, has officially announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz", the「Gundam Deathscythe EW Rousette Equipment」, slated for release in July 2025.
TheXXXG-01D Gundam Deathscytheis one of the five Gundam mobile suits deployed to Earth by the space colonies' anti-Earth United Government during Operation Meteor. Developed by Doctor G, it was entrusted to the young pilotDuo Maxwell. While this mobile suit lacks the flight capabilities of the Wing Gundam, it fully utilizes stealth technology, equipped with high-performance jammers that neutralize enemy cameras and radar, allowing it to completely disappear from enemy detection and silently reap souls with its massive beam scythe.
The Gundam Deathscythe that appeared in "Glory of the Losers" adopted the redesigned appearance by KATOKI HAJIME from "Endless Waltz (EW)", and in the manga, new EW-exclusive equipment, the「Rousette Equipment」, was added. These wings are stored on both sides of the Gundam Deathscythe's backpack, resembling miniaturized Wing Gundam EW wings. When deployed, they can provide equivalent aerial maneuverability within the atmosphere for a short period, though with limited cruising range.
The「G.F.F.M.C. Gundam Deathscythe EW Rousette Equipment」is based on multiple versions designed by KATOKI HAJIME. Utilizing the long-cultivated technology of the G.F.F.M.C. series, it recreates the main body's sharp and cool design, bright and clean color scheme, and KA-style red markings on various parts of the body. Some internal frame parts are made of alloy, and the head antenna also includes two types of parts to reproduce both the "early illustration version" and "later setting version" designs.
The entire armament has been redesigned by KATOKI HAJIME, incorporating many original new elements for the model. The original single-bladed beam scythe has become a double-bladed one, and can even transform and separate into a twin-headed scythe or two smaller scythes. The Buster Shield mounted on the left arm has been increased from one unit to three, not only making it more imposing when deployed, but each shield unit can also be attached to the side skirts, or combined with the beam scythe to form a twin-headed double-bladed scythe, a beam hammer, and other forms!
By replacing backpack parts, the「Gundam Deathscythe EW Rousette Equipment」form can be recreated. The wings incorporate numerous sliding and rotating articulation mechanisms, allowing for the recreation of three forms: stored, normal, and deployed. Furthermore, various parts of the mobile suit feature transformation mechanisms, enabling the recreation of the model's original flight form, "Raven".
This product also features interlocking play with separately sold G.F.F.M.C. products such as "Gundam Deathscythe Hell EW", "Wing Gundam EW", and "Wing Gundam Zero EW". In its normal form, the backpack can be equipped with the "Active Cloak" from Gundam Deathscythe Hell EW and connected to the Rousette Equipment. In flight form, the Buster Rifle and Twin Buster Rifle can be mounted below the nose, and six "Dwarf" units can be mounted at the rear of the mobile suit.
