Story
Dr. Azuma developed robots called "bionoids," possessing intelligence similar to humans and an immunity to pollutants that humans lack. Their purpose was to solve environmental pollution and ecological conservation issues. However, the robot BK-1 was accidentally electrocuted and suddenly rebelled against humanity, killing the doctor and several scientists, and taking control of other robots. Due to this internal uprising and the inability of human military and police forces to cope with machines possessing artificial intelligence, the Android Army (Note: Android means "robot") quickly conquered Japan. Before they could begin their conquest of the world, Dr. Azuma's son, Tetsuya Azuma, transformed himself into the neo-human Casshern to fight against the Android Army.
This time, let's start by discussing areas for improvement!
Firstly, the packaging features a minimalist design! This isn't necessarily a drawback, but from a consumer's perspective, some might prefer more elaborate box art or packaging! Additionally, Friender's articulation is generally limited and cannot achieve some of the poses commonly seen in the anime! Lastly, regarding Casshern's inadequate design, why isn't an unmasked Casshern head sculpt included? This is my biggest personal disappointment!
Moving directly to the sculpt, both are handled quite well in terms of their anime appearance! Casshern's sculpt primarily features a plastic outer suit, so the overall look is truly excellent! Although the seam line at the back is a bit disappointing, the overall appearance is definitely above average. Moreover, the articulation is not restricted by the plastic outer suit, so you can play with it without worry! My only personal concern is whether the white outer suit will yellow over time...
Friender also perfectly recreates its appearance from the original anime! Honestly, although it can be purchased separately, Casshern without Friender is no longer Casshern! So, if you like Casshern, I strongly recommend purchasing them together, as another advantage is the price, which suits my taste perfectly. After all, Casshern toys are relatively rare, so I couldn't resist this dynamic duo!
I hope the manufacturer will later provide a Casshern head with a face sculpt; that would naturally boost the score significantly!
