BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has launched a new product in its Art Vignette series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with diorama scenes, based on the movie "Godzilla -1.0" – the "Sea Radiation Heat Ray Emission Image Ver." It is scheduled to be released as a prize figure in September 2026!

"Godzilla -1.0," released in 2023, is a Godzilla film commemorating Godzilla's 70th anniversary. Its story returns to a post-World War II Japan setting, recreating the destruction wrought by this nuclear behemoth on the human world and depicting how people in the post-war era confront the colossal disaster that strikes again. The stunning visual effects, created by a special effects team of only 35 people, also allowed "Godzilla -1.0" to defeat Hollywood blockbusters like Marvel and Mission: Impossible at the 96th Academy Awards, winning the Best Visual Effects award!

This Sea Radiation Heat Ray Emission Image Ver. measures approximately 27 cm in length. It reuses the "Godzilla (2023) Sea Image Ver." model released in 2025, creating a scene where Godzilla is half-submerged in the ocean. The exquisite sculpting faithfully reproduces details such as the sharp dorsal fins extending from its back to its tail and the rough skin texture. Its wide-open maw and fierce eyes exude unparalleled dominance! The biggest change this time is the recoloring, referencing the scene in the film where Godzilla is in a cloudy sea. The dorsal fins are now made with a translucent material, and the iconic blue paint application is sprayed on the dorsal fins, inside the mouth, and on the sea surface, capturing the powerful moment of the heat ray emission and offering a completely different visual effect from the original version!
