SQUARE ENIX Japan's 'BRING ARTS' 6-inch action figure series recently announced its latest product, "Red XIII," from the PS version of 'FINAL FANTASY VII,' slated for release in September 2024.

Red XIII, originally named "NANAKI," is a long-lived creature from Cosmo Canyon capable of human speech. While resembling a quadrupedal feline beast in appearance, he possesses an unimaginably high level of intelligence, capable of agile attacks and casting black magic. Due to his unique biological characteristics, he was captured by Hojo and taken to the Shinra Building as an experimental subject. After encountering Cloud and his companions who infiltrated Shinra, he successfully escaped and became a trusted ally in their battles.

The "BRING ARTS Red XIII" figure is based on the design drawn by designer Tetsuya Nomura at the time of the 1997 PS version's release. At a 6-inch scale, it meticulously recreates the anime-style beastly physique, sharp-eyed facial features, Nomura's signature spiky fur, and other details. The flame at the tip of the tail is made with clear parts, and a rich color application reproduces the orange-brown gradient fur and the protective tattoos on his limbs. In addition to a dedicated display stand, accessories include a replaceable upper jaw part, allowing for the depiction of baring his teeth.
