The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company has announced the latest product in its 'POKEPLA' Pokémon plastic model series, a quick-assembly sub-line: "Pokémon PLAMO Collection Quick!! 18 Sprigatito", slated for release in April 2024.
The new Grass Cat Pokémon, "Sprigatito", one of the first partner Pokémon from 'Pokémon Scarlet and Violet', gained immense popularity after its reveal due to its adorable design. It is also the first partner of the protagonist, Liko, in the new anime 'Pokémon Horizons'. Sprigatito closely resembles a real-life kitten, enjoying cuddling with its Trainer but possessing a fickle and jealous nature. Its fluffy fur contains plant-like components that allow it to perform photosynthesis. When it kneads its front paws, it emits a sweet aroma that captivates everything around it, causing them to lose their will to battle.
The "Pokémon PLAMO Collection Quick!!" series emphasizes a low part count, simple structure, and no need for tools like nippers, allowing for quick assembly of various Pokémon. This latest release, "Sprigatito", can be completed with just 15 parts. The white of the eyes and the pink nose are separate pieces, and with the included stickers for the pupils and mouth, a Sprigatito approximately 8.6 cm tall can be completed. While it lacks articulated joints, its adorable design is faithfully reproduced.
