Japanese toy brand Kaiyodo's "Amazing Yamaguchi (アメコミヤマグチ)" action figure series, known for its astonishing super articulation, will welcome its first villain from My Hero Academia in August 2024: the professional heroes' greatest nemesis and one of the ultimate villains, "Tomura Shigaraki Awakened Ver."!
The "Amazing Yamaguchi Tomura Shigaraki (Awakened Ver.)" stands approximately 16 cm tall. Its design is based on his awakened state after his modification surgery, faithfully recreating his bare upper body, tattered cloak, and his signature white hair and scar at the corner of his mouth. The muscle sculpting features profound three-dimensionality on the upper body, while the leg lines exude a powerful visual effect. The head sculpt includes a total of four interchangeable face parts and two types of bangs parts. Although it lacks articulated eyes, it can vividly express Shigaraki's awakened state as he observes heroes, his full-power combat stance, and scenes where he glares with wide eyes, as if conveying his hatred for the world.
Another major highlight of this figure is the effect parts that materialize Tomura Shigaraki's Quirk. The translucent purple effect parts representing the spread of "Decay (崩壊 - Hōkai)" and the four black spikes, "Rivets (鋲突 - Byōtotsu)," often used by All For One, make Shigaraki's battle scenes even more dynamic. Other accessories include multiple interchangeable hands and parts that can be attached to his back to connect the Rivets.
▼ Additional bonus items when purchased at Kaiyodo's direct stores include an interchangeable right hand, a pager, a paper Gigantomachia (ギガントマキア) background board, and a dedicated display base.
