Bandai Japan's GASHAPON capsule toy brand, under its new artist collaboration series "Art in Gashapon," has once again partnered with frog sculptor Kazutaso Company. Following their previous work, "Frog Fujin and Raijin Statues," they are now releasing a new masterpiece: the "Art in Gashapon Frog Kongo Rikishi Statue" gashapon. There are four types available, with a reference price of 500 JPY per capsule. Pre-orders are open on PREMIUM BANDAI's "GASHAPON ONLINE," with an estimated shipping date in late April 2025.
The "Art in Gashapon Frog Kongo Rikishi Statue" gashapon brings to life the "Frog x Buddhist Statue (カエル×仏像)" series created by herpetology research doctor Kazutaso Company, miniaturized into an 8 cm gashapon size! Combining the form of a frog with the Buddhist guardian deities, the Vajrapani (Kongo Rikishi), this collection features the Kongo Rikishi statues Agyo and Ungyo. It meticulously captures details such as the frog's rough skin texture, piercing large eyes, and intricate hand ornaments. Available in two color variations with different textured finishes – wood statue and bronze statue – these figures exude an extraordinary presence and majesty!
